My favorites in budget Bluetooth sound

I'm a proud member of the Bluetooth cyborg army. I'm the guy who always seems to be talking to himself in the car next to you at red lights, and I'm the dude at the gym working out to Spotify, podcasts, or Audible with a flashing thing in my ear. Since going wireless for almost all my audio needs, I've never looked back and have actually become a bit of a connoisseur, particularly when it comes to budget Bluetooth options...

DOMINO’S SET TO MAKE ITS PIZZAS FLY?

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a DomiCopter! Scooters and cars could one day be swapped for 21st century flying machines following exciting technological research undertaken by Domino’s Pizza.

The DomiCopter is a lightweight flight aircraft, capable of travelling vast distances at high altitudes all whilst carrying Domino’s pizzas.

Sci-fi comics and movies have illustrated the next generation of flying machines for years. The DomiCopter can potentially climb hundreds of metres to reach its destination without the need to refuel, whilst also being incredibly eco-friendly – meaning a revolutionary way to deliver food.

As shown in the video, which is now available at http://bit.ly/GDCopter pizzas would be carried by the DomiCopter in the Domino’s Heatwave bags. The bags, which were a key breakthrough in Domino’s pizzas retaining their heat, could now be utilised with another technological breakthrough – the DomiCopter.

“At Dominos we’re always looking to innovate and find new ways to deliver our pizza and a DomiCopter could fit the bill perfectly,” said Simon Wallis Sales and Marketing Director at Domino’s. “We are the number one pizza delivery company and we are committed to staying in that position. What better way to totally avoid the traffic than to fly – if anything this will now make us even quicker! We think it’s a great way to reinforce that Domino’s go to more lengths than anyone to deliver great pizza.”

A Domino’s Flight Academy is also rumoured to be in the pipeline should the DomiCopter delivery service take off.

10 Amazing Pet Gadgets that will Blow you Away

Here is a list of the top 10 gadgets for pet owners.
1. Global pet monitor
This device is a small collar-mounted piece of technology that utilises GPS software that not only keeps track of your pet’s whereabouts from your mobile phone, but also helps to deliver information such as health monitoring, activity level and external temperature.
2. Cat DJ scratching deck
Yes, you read correctly. This hilarious cat ‘scratching pad’ designed by Suck UK is a novelty item DJ turntable deck that comes with a carpet textured record that spins as your cat paws at it – ingenious.
3. Frobo pet bowl
Another great gadget, this bowl is specially designed to give your pet access to chilled water for up to eight hours. This product is great for long car journeys or if you’re used to preparing ice cubes to melt in your dog’s water bowl whilst you’re at work.
4. Electronic Nail file
Few dogs enjoy their nails being trimmed. This gadget is a lightweight, hand-held battery operated nail file for pets with long claws. It works by removing the thinner layers of your pet’s nails to leave a smooth and nicely finished result. Be careful with Frodo’s nails or you may need to consider some cheap RSPCA pet insurance as well.
5. Pawz dog boots
Reusable, waterproof and disposable, this range of dog boots are every dog owner’s must have item. Think of all the times you’ve walked your dog after it’s rained and the mud gets right into your dog’s paws and pads? These dog boots are your answer.
6. Video camera for pets
It’s a simple small camera device that attaches to your dog or cat’s neck so that as they wander around the house while you’re at work, you’re able to log online and see what they’re up to (or what they’re seeing).
7. Frolicat Bolt
This amusing gadget is an interactive toy for your cat or small dog. It’s a small tower device that shines a laser that moves randomly in many different directions, so that your cat or dog can chase it for hours and exercise while it plays.
8. A dog treadmill
Treadmills are proving very popular in the world of dog exercise. Think of all the time you’ll save being able to exercise your dog at home (but you’d better join a gym yourself to compensate). A treadmill will be easier on your dog’s joints instead of the hard tread of the streets.  It’s a known fact that well exercised dogs have less behaviour problems.
9. Glofish
Glofish are a novelty themselves. Bred originally to help scientists detect environmental pollutants, these little fish are fluorescent and retain their glow all times of the day. Imagine how cool they’d look in a tank with a black backdrop?
10. A laminating dog leash
While retractable dog leashes are great for allowing your dog a controlled amount of freedom to roam as they’re walked, imagine a retractable lead with a built-in torch for those long walks at night? At least you can see where Rover’s wandered off to.

Microsoft Dual Screen Courier Tablet

This thing might only be a concept, but it looks very cool. Imagine a dual screen tablet, just like a notepad, but electronic... I will stop trying to describe it, just watch the video and enjoy.

Robotic Hand Anyone? - Project Orick

This video is just awesome, check out this guy using a futuristic glove on his hand, controlling the computer. Brilliant stuff and very entertaining, it is a must watch video.

Apple Tablet ? Cue the Archos 9 !

Whilst we all wait (very) patiently for Apple to bring us their version of the tablet or netbook Mac that we all want, Archos have announced a very interesting device. Take a look at the Archos 9 PC Tablet below, running Windows 7, with its Atom processor and 80GB or 120GB hard drive.

Look down the left hand side of the screen and you find a 1.3 megapixel webcam, plus shortcuts buttons for setup, on-screen keyboard and left/right mouse buttons. Along the right side is the power button and an optical navigator for moving your pointer around the 9-inch screen. There is also stereo speakers and a mic. That screen looks quite nice too. It is a resistive touch screen, with multi-touch, so you can use it with your finger or a stylus.
For multimedia nuts it has a kick stand at the back, so you can sit it on a desk for movie watching. It also sports twin antennas for Digital TV reception on the go. This includes HD reception with recording too. Optional 3.5G sim support for internet on the go, all bundled for £450-£499, not too shabby.

Now, if Apple take this concept one step further and add their design flare, this would take such a device to another level. Imagine a sleek aluminum shell, wi-fi, bluetooth, iPhone OS with a rear facing 3-megapixel camera too. iChatAV right out of the box. iPod dock connector for charging and displaying content on your HD TV. This could be one serious piece of kit. Being an Apple OS lover, the only thing holding me back from this Archos device is Windows 7... that just sucks!

Smart Home Protection with Alertme.com - Discount for our readers

AlertMe.com, the provider of people-friendly home security, today announced the launch of AlertMe, an intelligent home security and monitoring system that offers positive reassurance for homeowners wishing to protect their homes and possessions, by mobile phone and the Internet.

"We like the idea of this product, so much that we will be bringing you a full review very soon." Whilst you are waiting for the review, we are happy to let you know about a special Geekanoids offer. You can grab a £25 discount by simply sending an email to nik"at"alertme.com with "Geekanoids offer" in the subject line, and you will receive a discount code for use during your purchase.

AlertMe allows people to take proactive steps to secure their homes - often their greatest asset and investment - and an aspect of home protection that is often overlooked. It can eliminate the risk of having to make an unnecessary claim on home insurance that often leads to an expensive increase in premiums. For the first time since burglar alarms were screwed onto people's homes more than 30 years ago, home security is finally being modernised.

AlertMe can be self-installed without the need for wires, drilling or waiting for servicemen to turn up which also means the system can move with you. It works by sending ‘alerts’ via text or email and can also be set up to notify nominated friends and family, updating them on potential incidents such as fires or break-ins. It removes any dependence on security call centre operatives who might only know the billing address and that an alarm has gone off. This means people can more easily manage false alarms, and avoid the penalties and blacklisting by the police which often accompany these.

AlertMe goes further than traditional burglar alarms by matching security with safety. The system can send an alert when smoke or carbon monoxide fumes have been detected. For further reassurance, individual key fobs can be given to family members so parents can be alerted when children have arrived home safely. AlertMe can easily be personalised to suit different lifestyles to accommodate pets, visiting guests or a cleaner.

AlertMe is available at www.alertMe.com and is priced at £399 inc VAT for a comprehensive kit, costing 40% less than similar traditional alarm systems.

Commenting on the launch, Nik Rouda, marketing director, AlertMe said, "Our homes and families are most precious to us and are the things we want to protect. By enabling people to keep a close eye on both of these, we are delivering peace of mind. Our new approach provides better technology and excellent value by being much more affordable than traditional solutions.”

Coinciding with the launch, AlertMe released results from a survey exploring people’s relationships with their homes and the community. A key finding of the research suggests community spirit is alive and well in the UK with 80% of respondents relying upon their neighbours to come to their aid in the event of a break-in. Almost half (47%) place considerable faith in their local community to give them reassurance and security while maintaining little or no security measures of their own. Britain’s twenty-something’s were amongst the most concerned (49% of 18-24 year olds) about home security. And yet, despite being tech savvy and having a preference for electronic gadgets, even this group is completely dependent on others for their home security.

Both young and old place their faith in others to come to their rescue, putting only the most simplistic of security measures in place, such as windows locks (79%). This suggests that either traditional systems are too expensive or simply don’t work. AlertMe is an easily installable home security system that is both more affordable and highly effective.
